Data protection

Dodd & Co take data protection very seriously and, in light of the Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which come into force on 25 May 2018, this notice informs all our clients how we collect, use and store any data we hold.

We collect your name, address, phone number and email address to contact you for the purposes of carrying out commissioned work, following up on the service and ensuring you get a high quality service and any necessary additional information post-completion of work. 

We send you invoices on the completion of work or at agreed stages during the project.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

We only pass your name, address and contact details on to an external supplier if a direct delivery of materials is necessary. You can reject this option.

We do not keep your bank or card details.

You can request an electronic (scanned and emailed to you) copy of your information held by us at any time.

Your handwritten data is stored in locked cabinets in a locked office.

Any data pertaining to your contact details that is kept on the computer is stored on an external hard drive, which is stored in a locked office.

We keep your personal data only as long as is necessary and only for the purpose of carrying out the service we provide for you. Once personal data is no longer needed we will destroy it securely.

 

What you need to do.

If you are happy for Dodd & Co to keep your contact details on record for the purposes of information sharing and/or sales in the future, you need do nothing.

Under Recital 171 of the GDPR, Dodd & Co is not required to seek consent to contact existing clients. However, if you do not want Dodd & Co to contact you in the future, please email us at info@dodduk.com and we will instantly remove your details from our data base and securely destroy any personal data we hold.
